Beautiful, non technical path/forest road from Schönau am Königsee until Gotzen Alm. Views at Gotzen Alm are spectacular. 

From Gotzen Alm to Kärlinger Haus is wonderful, enormous mountains in each direction, with views to the big valley with the lake at the bottom. It is a long way, but very beautiful, and it offers a nice pause with fresh water at Wasseralm.

From Kärlinger Haus to St Bartholoma, it is all way down, between two gigantic walls. If you happen to be there while foggy it is somehow mysterious, one descends in zig zag, but no reference to the back, nor to the front. 

At St Bartholomä one can choose to take the boat back, or continue the hike until Kühroint Alm. This path have some steep exposed areas, with aid from some metallic steps, all in all doable without special equipment. It is a long way up and then down again until reaching Schönau.
