This is a very long and exhausting hike over "two and a half" mountains, with the possibility to quit early after 1/2 (Saletalm) or 2/3 (St.Bartholomä) the distance and to return by boat.

The full tour requires very good fitness and takes about 12-13h. It is recommended  to walk at your own optimal pace, and not to take breaks longer than 5mins as your muscles might stiffen otherwise. Keep moving all the time!

  6. Fischunkelalm (5.9km, 2h 33min, ↑34m, ↓1400m) at Obersee
  7. optional exit Salet after 18.2km, 6h 23min, ↑1.5km, ↓1.5km
  8. Rennerfaser-Alm (2.5km, 37min, ↑61m, ↓79m)
  9. over Viehtriebsteig and Neiger to St.Bartholomä (5.4km, 2h 16min, ↑360m, ↓363m)
