** Please note that, open maps showing most of the route
between Westliche Karwendelspitze to Brunnsteinhütte (going down) as mostly T2.
This is not correct as per my personal feeling and rating, it contains parts
of steep area and lot of Kabel’s.
My rating of route between Westliche Karwendelspitze to
Brunnsteinhütte is between T3 to T4.**
** If you want to avoid T5 route of Westliche Karwendelspitze,
then can use Tunnel Dammkanweg, which ends in Karwendelbahn (Bergstation). **
** If you do the route via Dammkar to Karwendelbahn
(Bergstation), then no additional equipment required. Hiking poles would be
sufficient. And even the route from Dammkar to Karwendelbahn (Bergstation) can
be done in winter. In winter might be careful with skiing. **
