Long and beautiful mountain tour with breathtaking views. Already during the ascent, a fantastic view over Hohe Tauern peaks awaits you. Equally impressive is the view of the Seehorn south face. Not to mention the grandiose summit panorama: in the north-east you can see the Watzmann, in the east the Großer Hundstod is directly opposite and in the south-east the Hochkönig massif. The deep views of the Dießbach reservoir lake are also very beautiful.
From the car park, follow the forest path in a southeasterly direction. After a few meters, continue along the trail to the left until you reach the forest path again at a right-hand bend. Follow this further uphill until a trail branches off to the left. Over a wooden bridge with the sign "Jausenstation Kallbrunnalm" and right up through the forest above the Brechlbach until you reach the forest path for the last time. Shortly thereafter, when the forest path splits, at the Kallbrunnalm-Fritzenkaser (1421m), follow the sign "Seehorn / Ingolstädter-Haus" and walk straight ahead over beautiful alpine pastures, once again through a very short forest belt, with hardly any ascent, over to the Kallbrunnalm Jausen station ( 1454m). Continue straight ahead on the road, past the Almkreuz to a fork in the road near the Kashüttn and information point. Here left briefly on the road northwards to the signposted turn-off to Seehorn. To the right, first comfortably over a flat section, then quite steeply over a clear forest step up to the Seehornsee, which is well hidden in a hollow. Past the right bank of the lake and through a pine belt that is partly interspersed with rock, and up short rocky steps until you reach wide mountain meadows. Across this constantly rising high plateau towards the summit and finally on the narrowing ridge, which breaks off steeply to the south, up to the summit cross on the Seehorn (2321m).
From the summit on the Kematen Schneid north down to a signposted path fork (2163m). Follow the sign "Dießbachstausee-Kallbrunnalm 30/401" on the right and down a good path into a wide cirque, south of the Großer Palfelhorn. In a wide right-hand bend along a creek further down to a beautiful, green plateau with a beautiful creek (Hochwies) north-west of the Großer Hundstod. Over a rocky steep step down to the Mitterkaseralm with the valley station of the material cable car to the Ingolstädter Haus. On the road in a westerly direction to the Dießbachstausee (1415m) and finally slightly uphill to the Kashüttn/information point. From here back to Pürzlbach along the already familiar path.
