The Schwarzhorn via ferrata is
sometimes very airy towards the summit, always with a wonderful mountain
panorama in mind - the Eiger and Schreckhorn are not the only mountains
that greet us from afar. The somewhat longer descent via the Große
Scheidegg, a lesser-known corner of Grindelwald, is particularly
worthwhile. Thanks to the mountain railway, this beautiful alpine
activity can be done as a leisurely day tour.
With
a bit of luck, you can see marmots at Distelboden, which often frolic
in droves. If you still have enough time on the way back, you should
make a detour to the Bachalpsee (can be reached in just over an hour
from the Firstbahn mountain station).
