The Schwarzhorn via ferrata is sometimes very airy towards the summit, always with a wonderful mountain panorama in mind - the Eiger and Schreckhorn are not the only mountains that greet us from afar. The somewhat longer descent via the Große Scheidegg, a lesser-known corner of Grindelwald, is particularly worthwhile. Thanks to the mountain railway, this beautiful alpine activity can be done as a leisurely day tour.

With a bit of luck, you can see marmots at Distelboden, which often frolic in droves. If you still have enough time on the way back, you should make a detour to the Bachalpsee (can be reached in just over an hour from the Firstbahn mountain station).

Automatic direction calculation (experimental feature, please provide feedback)

------

The easy via ferrata should not be underestimated, especially when it is wet or snowy, climbing the ridge can be very uncomfortable. The via ferrata is not fully insured, especially the ascent to the Große Chrinne can sometimes be a bit tricky for alpine newcomers, since you can't always cling to the wire rope in the area of the Große Chrinne (sometimes only clamps without a safety rope).
