Mountain station Oeschinensee - Fründenhütte via Fründencord; 4:15 a.m.; T4
From Oeschinensee mountain station via Underbärgli and "Untere Fründicular"
Time: 4 hours 15 minutes; Alpine mountain trail: T4 ; Marked white-blue-white from Unterbärgli.
For children and insecure hikers who are not afraid of heights, we strongly recommend a via ferrata set!
The path leads via Läger (Restaurant Sennerei) along the north bank to the Underbärgli. Here the path branches off to the south and leads through the "Untere Fründschnur". This passage is exposed, with a wonderful view of the Oeschinensee and a breathtaking panorama over the entire valley basin. It is a horizontal section of the trail. No climbing skills required! This entire passage is secured with a fixed rope. (Intended as a self-assurance)
Then individual streams are crossed before you "at the big stone"; Point 1936 rejoins the regular Hüttenweg.
From there the path leads up to the hut in 1h 30 minutes.
From Kandersteg train station, the journey is a good hour longer!
