If you climb up along the Gleirschbach, you can literally feel the power of the water as it rushes down the mountain in an opposite direction, crystal clear and turquoise blue.
The way leads through a beautiful gorge (Gleirschklamm) which was used as transport of timber in the past. Near the peak is a very cosy hut where you can enjoy drinks and food.
The trails are narrow and partly exposed.
Contrary to to hikes to high mountains, gorges are more interesting at or after rainy days.
For hikes in gorges or along rivers and lakes, you should be able to swim (just in case)
