Wendelstein (1,838 m) is one of most popular peaks in Bavarian Prealps, thanks to the cable car and cogwheel train. Because of its exposed position it offers a very good view into the Bavarian Alpine foothills and can be seen the other way round in a wide radius.
Nice tour to Wendelstein peak starting in Osterhofen and ending in Bayrischzell. There is a hut and restaurant at the peak. The route is technically easy (mostly T2) and very well marked. However, you need basic fitness to be able hike upto 12.5 Km and 1030 m elevation gain.
