A wide forest path leads uphill from Biberwier with a pleasant incline, never too steep till the "Montan-Wanderweg". At some point shortly after the sign "Pulverkeller" you turn right (sign: Schachtkopf, Montan-Wanderweg, No. 814). Red markings lead past a deer feeding station and up through sparse forest. At a wayside with the sign " Bremsweg " you climb up to the left (sign: Schachtkopf). From here the path meanders a little steeper in the forest over small rocky steps. Then you come to a fork (to the left possibility of crossing to the Biberwierer Scharte), we turn right and follow the Montan hiking trail, until a rocky peak sticks out of the treetops on the right - here we make a detour to Schachtkopf. However, the main route turns to the left, leads uphill over gravel fields and past the "Ulrich-Stollen" with great views. The highest point with the big cross can be reached in just a few steps over a few rock steps. leads uphill over gravel fields and past the "Ulrich-Stollen" with great views to Wetterstein and Mieminger range.

First over flat pastures, then becoming ever steeper through high forest and grass tracks, the path leads up to Berglesboden with a magnificent view of the Zugspitze , the Wetterstein massif and the peaks of the Mieming mountains .
From the alpine pastures there is a particularly beautiful view of the Nassereither Alm with the peaks of the Lechtal Alps towering behind it (Sinnesjoch, Rauchberg, Alpleskopf, Heiterwand).
After a good rest and good refreshments on the beautiful sun terrace of the Nassereither Alm , we take the supply road back down into the valley in the direction of the Römerweg. On the descent, the lakes on the Fernpass, the Blindsee and Samaranger See , shimmer again and again through the forest, the Wetterstein massif with the Zugspitze dominates the horizon .

memorial plaque along the way commemorates the plane crash of a US bomber in 1944; 30 soldiers lost their lives at that time.

The supply road of the Nassereither Alm flows into the Römerweg , the Via Claudia Augusta, at the old Fernpass. We reach finally the wonderful Blindsee where we can make another break ro enjoy the view. The Römerweg takes us along the turquoise Weißensee back to Biberwier, the starting point of our circular tour.
