Karkopf (2469 m) is not well known mountain in Mieming range because it's in the neighbourhood of higher mountains like Hohe Munde and Hochwand. Most of the mountaineers attempt those mountains first before coming to this one. However, for via ferrata lovers this mountain is a must which is accessible via so called Adler Klettersteig (grade D). The topography of the klettersteig can be found here.
The views of the Mieming range are just awesome and popular summits lined up in a row like a string of pearls: Ehrwalder Sonnenspitze, Tajakopf, Grünstein just to name a few.
