<div><font color="#333333">Good-natured, short via ferrata on a rewarding viewpoint mountain, surprising geological scenery.<br><br></font></div><div><font color="#333333">The Imster Klettersteig has become a Mecca of steel cable routes for experienced ferratists; it is also a sharp "test stone" in the truest sense of the word for experts; strongly discouraged in uncertain weather. A good, quiet alternative destination for weaker partners or uncertain weather and an additional destination for a weekend at the cozy Muttekopfhütte is the Vordere Platteinspitze. </font></div><div><font color="#333333"><br></font></div><div><font color="#333333">The short, problem-free via ferrata in the southeast flank is reached via a geologically very interesting approach: At the first gap in the ridge, a forest of wild towers and spikes made of brownish-red, brittle conglomerate rock surprises, like a morbid fragment chipped off the bright limestone rock.</font></div><div><br></div><div><font color="#333333">The short, secured climb of the via ferrata is about 150 m.</font></div><div><br></div><div><font color="#333333">Ascent: From the middle station Untermarkter Alm on a wide driveway in</font></div><div><font color="#333333">20 minutes or from the parking lot Obermarkter Alm in a few minutes to the Latschenhütte,</font></div><div><br></div><div><font color="#333333">Near the hut, a signposted path branches off to the right and leads moderately steeply through the forest to the wide, open Plattein meadows above the alpine meadow; at a large cross, an impressive deep view of Imst and the</font></div><div><font color="#333333">Rocky gully at the base of the Vordere Platteinspitze.</font></div><div><font color="#333333">Inntal.
