Route Information
Hiking tour to the mountain top of "Federispitz" (SG). Start in Schänis and finish in Autis, next to Weesen. Second half of this route is part of the official "26 Summits" challenge in the year 2023. Official details here.
(The original route has been adjusted to have the ascend on the mountains west side, instead of doing the same route up and down from Weesen.)
Federihütte - On the west side of the mountain at 1'375 m, about 2/3 of the ascend route.
The mountain and surrounding area is quite dry. There are only few water streams and no freshwater taps. Hence it is absolutely necessary to bring enough water for a whole day trip!
