8.7-km circular loop trail near Weissbad, Appenzell Inner Rhodes starting and ending at Wasserauen. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 3 h 8 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and mountain biking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are April through October.

This beautiful circular route invites everyone to enjoy a piece of Eastern Switzerland. One starts at the valley station of the Wasserauen Ebenalpbahn cable car at the large car park and then hikes directly over the peak of Hüttentobel to the lake Seealp. Great views of the area await at any point along the way. One can also eat very well directly at the lake and then hike back to the starting point via the Kobel at 1112m and the Hinterruggen area.
