Scenic trail and challenging variants for the whole family
The market town of Fieberbrunn is located in the beautiful Pillerseetal and is known to many as a winter sports destination. However, the Fieberbrunn mountain world also has a lot to offer in the summer. The "Timoks Alm", located at the Streuböden middle station alone, offers enough attractions for a full family outing with the "Alpine Coaster", the adventure path with bouncy cushion and children's playground, a forest rope park, and since 2011 also a climbing park. However, climbing enthusiasts will not leave empty-handed either.

The family climbing hit advertised as "Himmel und Henne" is a panoramic climbing route over the "Henngrat" to the Henne peak. The climbing route, which is of a lower difficulty level, should be easily manageable for all family members - including children - with appropriate sure-footedness and freedom from vertigo. Those with more experience can try one of the variants. If you want to take it really easy, you can also dedicate yourself to the "Blumenweg Hochhörndk", which leads from the Wildseeloderhütte in the direction of Henne and around the Hochhörndlspitze and offers a magnificent view of the Hohe Tauern. Numerous alpine flowers protected by nature conservation can be admired right by the roadside.

Starting points: Fieberbrunn, 831 m, train station, a) valley station of the Fieberbrunn mountain railways.
b) Lärchfilzhochalm, 1363 m, access from Fieberbrunn via the industrial area in the direction of Gasthaus Eiserne Hand, at the signposted junction turn right over a narrow mountain road about 5 km uphill, guest parking in front of the house.

Walking times: a) Mountain station Lärchfilzkogel - Wildalm - Mountain station Reckmoos 1.15 hrs.; b) Lärchfilzhochalm - Grießenbodenalm - Mountain station Reckmoos 1.30 hrs.; Panoramic climbing route 1-1.30 hrs., with variants accordingly longer; descent Henne peak - Wildseeloderhaus - back to the starting points 1.30-2 hrs.; total time 4.30-5 hrs.

Requirements: Panoramic climbing route A/B: 800 m climbing route length (including walking passages), well-secured path; without the more difficult variants manageable for young and old, sure-footedness assumed, possibly additional safety rope for children. Ascent and descent on good alpine hiking trails.

Variants: "Da' Luftig" B/C, "Da' Rassig" C, "Da' Zache" D.

Altitude differences: a) Ascent from the Lärchfilzkogel mountain station 150 m descent and 390 m ascent; b) Ascent from the Lärchfilzhochalm, approx. 550 m (short intermediate descent); "Henngrat" approx. 210 m.

Note: Since 2012, a well-secured climbing route (200 Hm, C) leads to Marokka, a neighboring peak of Henne. Short approach from Wildseeloderhaus.

Access: a) From the Lärchfilzkogel mountain station, 1630 m, first slightly downhill to the Wildalm, 1579 m, and further in the direction of Grießenbodenalm to the first bend. There, turn right uphill and follow trail 18 to the Reckmoos mountain station, 1869 m. Next to the mountain station of the aging 2-person chairlift, the signposted path initially leads through a few larches to a prominent signpost.
b) From the car park at the Lärchfilzhochalm, 1363 m, continue on the road with a short intermediate descent past the Grießenbodenalm and on trail 18 further as under a).

Climbing route: Before it really starts, a decision must already be made at the signpost: straight ahead over the "Panoramasteig", which has existed since 2003, or rather to the right to two subsequently installed, more difficult variants? Children and beginners should in any case stick to the "Panoramasteig". This leads in part over the "Henngrat" secured with steel cables and artificial step aids up to the summit. Along the way, there are several easy walking passages where sure-footedness and a head for heights are required in places. With the unique view of the adjacent mountain groups such as the Loferer and Leoganger Steinberge or the Wilder Kaiser, it is quite difficult to concentrate on each step. If you follow the signpost to the right, you descend a few meters and cross under a avalanche barrier to the first rocks (information board "C-D very difficult"). Then "Da' Rassig" immediately provides an entertaining warm-up program. The shortest variant offers a spirited ascent, followed by a vertical 6 m ladder. Anyone who is already reaching their limits here should not opt for the transition to the second variant, but should climb straight up.

The variant "Da' Zache" deceives with the short rope bridge a "fun action section" and only shows its true face after a bold swing around a rock edge. Arm strength is required at the latest here. There are occasional artificial steps, but they do not always offer a suitable resting position. Biting through is the order of the day. It's a good 10 m straight up. The feet constantly searching for small ledges and both hands firmly on the rope - just a few moves, then you can catch your breath again. After a few meters, the two difficult variants lead together and meet again at the top of the ridge on the "Panoramasteig".

After a short walking area, there is once again the opportunity for everyone to opt for a final, somewhat more difficult variant. While the "Panoramasteig" pulls up to the left at the foot of a rock structure below avalanche barriers, the variant "Da' Luftig" leads vertically into a rock notch with the support of several iron brackets. Through this and then slightly climbed down into a niche to the logbook. Afterwards, follow the further ridge to the summit, a bit airy but well secured.

Descent: From the summit, first in a northerly direction and then in two large bends down the west flank to Wildsee and along the lake to Wildseeloderhaus, 1854 m. From there, follow the signs down to Wildalm, 1579 m, and depending on the starting point, either climb from there to the Lärchfilzkogel mountain station or down to the car park at the Lärchfilzhochalm via the Grießenbodenalm.

Extension for summit collectors: If you still have time and feel like it, go to the left of the Wildsee over the Seenieder, 1933 m, and through the Karmulde west of the lake up to Wildseeloder, 2118 m. The descent then takes place over the east ridge through a rock gate and on an earthy trail steeply down to the lake and further to Wildseeloderhaus.
