Automatic peak(s) detection (experimental feature)
The route passes by the following peaks:
- Hinter Fiescherhorn (4025 m)
-------
User provided description:
Probably the easiest 4000 that can be reached from Jungfraujoch if the conditions are good.
Ascent: From Jungfraujoch, follow the marked trail to Mönchjochhütte. Then ski down long and flat in the Ewigschneefeld. There are not many crevasses in this part of the glacier. Then follow the path on the left with the skins which becomes steeps gradually. You have to check for avalanche conditions the day before. The last 200m before the saddle is quite steep and you need to carry the ski on the backpack. From the saddle, the summit is easy walk (sometimes even possible with the skis).
Descent: Ski down on the Fiescherglacier which is full of crevasses and seracs, is only recommended for skilled skiers. Then long flat skiing to Finsteraarhorn hut.
