Automatic peak(s) detection (experimental feature)

The route passes by the following peaks:

  • Finsteraarhorn (4274 m)

-------

User provided description:

Finsteraarhorn (4274 m) is the highest summit of Bernese Alps and offers magnificent views all around. That's the reason it's quite popular summit both in summer and spring (as a skitour) despite having very remote approach. It's almost impossible to do the summit in 1 day without staying in the Finsteraarhorn hut.

Ascent: The easiest way to reach the hut is from Jungfraujoch (although quite expensive). First follow the marked ascent to Mönchjochhütte and then ski down all the way to Konkordiaplatz. Then follow the ascent to Grünhornlücke and again down to the hut.

From the hut the ascent is very steep but short in distance till the ridge. The last part on the ridge is sometimes very exposed but the technical difficulty never exceeds II+.

Descent: Same as descent

Weather: Summit
