Route Information
One of several ways of hiking up Jägerkamp und Aiplspitz(e). The reason for doing the hike this way and for taking a relatively long and gentle descent route is a direct train connection from Geitau.
Take care - the route between Jägerkamp and Aiplspitz(e) is quite rocky and at one spot secured by a rope. It does not make a difficult climb, but it is certainly not for people with a fear of heights!
Easily reachable by public transport. At the time of writing (09.2018):
To Spitzingsattel: BOB86855 to Fischhausen -then Bus 9562 to Spitzingsattel (c. 80 min)
From Geitau: Direct BOB86880 to Munich Hbf (c.80 min)
Schönfeldhütte (open all year) on the ascent, Postgasthof Rote Wand in Geitau
Tour not suitable for people with a fear of heights and not recommended for those with little experience in hiking
