Route Information
Höfats is one of the most beautiful mountains in the world. Neither of the summuts can be reached easily. The easiest of the four summits is the Southeast-Summit. A very steep path leads to the summit from Älpelesattel. You need to be very surefooted and not scared of heights.
Anyone who gets into problems on the way to the summit can wait for the rest of the group at Älpelesattel.

On the way back to Oberstdorf, you can get food and drinks at the Berggasthof Oytal. You can also rent the Oytal-Roller (7€) and have a lot of fun.

An ice axe can be useful for the steep grass.
Do not attempt when the grass is wet. Wait for about 2-3 dry days after rainy days.
