This is a Mammutmarsch route.

It features a 100km loop from Munich via Starnberg back to Munich to be covered in 24 hours. The route is expected to be taken during Mammutmarsch event https://mammutmarsch.de/100-km-marsch/muenchen/ because during this time it features rest stations and organization of the route. The route is hard due to length and especially if you come undeprepared. The average completion rate is relatively low due to many people not preparing their gear such as trailrunning or other soft cushion shoes, light backpack, poles etc. thus leaving the track due to blisters or pain in feet in majority of cases. The route is also running via long asphalt roads, so really soft feet cushion is a great helper. Preparation with 30+ km walks is recommended as well as good broken trailrunning shoes. During the event it is not mandatory to finish the distance with possibility to leave at checkpoints. The route during Mammutmarsch is not intended as a running event. Rather walking.
