Alternative way of going up Brecherspitz(e) without using the bus (direct train to Fischhausen-Neuhaus (BOB)
Starting from train station Fischhausen-Neuhaus - get off the train and walk past the busses to the first signpost - then follow the signs to Brecherspitze, turning right past the stream. Well-signposted way will lead you up to the alm and the first hut on the way. Then turn left, ascending the alm up to Brecherspitze - the way up is well marked with red dots. The way from Brecherspitze to Brecherspitze West is a little bit more challenging and not suitable for people with fear of heights.
//Alternative: Take the path to the left here to get down the short way to Spitzingsattel//
Continue the way straight ahead, going through a sparse forest to the gentle ridge up to a very small wooden chapel. Take the path left immediately before the chapel to descend the way described. Follow the way straight ahead, to get back to the alm around the point you turned left to go up the summit. Note: the way straight ahead is a bit steep at times and requires a firm step - not recommended when wet!
