Wendelstein (1,838 m) is one of most popular peaks in Bavarian Prealps, thanks to the cable car and cogwheel train. Because of its exposed position it offers a very good view into the Bavarian Alpine foothills and can be seen the other way round in a wide radius.

The route is technically easy (mostly T2) and very well marked. Wendelstein from Bayrischzell to Geitau, easily reachable via BOB, ascend and descend on relatively easy paths, note the route may be lengthy and hiking boots are strongly recommended (especially out-of-season)
