Let´s take advantage of a beautiful panoramic tour with a fantastic view of the Nagelflühkette, the Ehrenschwanger Valley and the Konstanz Valley to the north. The scenic circular tour in the Nagelfluh Nature Park runs above the wildlife sanctuary below the Denneberg (1,427 m) and can also be carried out as a normal winter hike. From Oberstaufen through the Regenwald to Bad Rain. Directly below the hotel you branch off onto a hiking trail that first leads uphill to the road and, after crossing it, continues uphill to the Ifen and Buchenegg plateaus. From here, continue on the tar road. Keep right at the chapel and follow the residential road via Seppl's garden restaurant (refreshments available) until you reach the entrance to the Buchenegger waterfalls after a short steep section. A path begins there, which initially leads gently downhill, but further down it is steep and challenging into the Weißachschlucht.
You can watch the frozen masses of water cascading down two rocky steps. To the left and right of the waterfall is the striking Nagelfluh rock, which is also called Herrgottsbeton.
We reach then the south-facing climb to Prodelalpe (1,220 m) that begins on a wide forest path. At the Prodelalpe you can already enjoy a wonderful mountain view, which continues when you cross the following ridge: Opposite the Prodelalpe, the striking Hochgrat rises up to 1,834 m, and the other peaks of the Nagelflühkette can be seen to the left and right.
When visibility is good, the Swiss Säntis massif is behind you, the peaks of the Nagelfluh chain are lined up on the right and on the left you can see Oberstaufen and the Konstanz valley. The second summit, Denneberg (1,427 m), will soon be reached. Shortly after the summit you leave the ridge on the south side to the Schwandalpe and Thalkirchsdorf
