Benediktenwand (formerly Kirchstein) is a 1801 m high ridge in the Bavarian Prealps between the rivers Loisach and Isar and the Jachenau in the south and the monastery Benediktbeuern in the north, from which it also has its name.

The hike starts at Petern, Jachenau, and after ascent to the peak continues to Kochel am See. 

The hike is mostly easy, except there are some steep parts close to the summit where ropes are attached for safety.
