Leonhardstein

From the surrounding mountains you can immediately recognize the Leonhardstein (1452m) by its striking shape - a bold rocky peak in the middle of the rather lovely Bavarian foothills. From Kreuth a narrow path leads past waterfalls to these points. The approach to the summit leads through the mountain forest on mostly shady paths. Once you get to the actual foot of the mountain, it becomes much steeper and more strenuous - the last few meters to the summit even require a bit of climbing skill and sure-footedness. A beautiful tour that is relatively less frequented compared to the surrounding peaks.

Inexperienced people also like to use their hands to help them reach the summit cross safely. Total time: approx. 2:00 hours for normal walkers.

A note for anyone interested: I don't care how fit you are, whether you've ever hiked in your life or whether you don't know how to write hiking. I'll take you to the summit. Period.
In contrast to the tours on HikingBuddies.com, this is a loop. That means we don't go back the same way we took to the summit.
On the way back we pass the Flora Bohra and with a bit of luck we get to see the fastest birds in Bavaria, namely the peregrine falcon. It's breeding season, so please don't make any loud noises as we pass the south wall.

What you need:
1. A good mood
2. Proper hiking shoes
3. Hiking poles (optional)
4. Gloves (optional)
5. Proper clothes

7. Food and snacks

After the tour there is the opportunity to visit a Hütte. My tipp: Schweigeralm.
