The Carl von Stahl Haus (1733m) on the Torrener Joch in the Berchtesgaden Alps can be climbed by people from Bavaria, how usually happens but a worthwhile climb is also possible from the east, from the Salzburg region. The start is the scenically beautiful Bluntautal. If you are looking for peace and quiet, the hike to the Bluntau lakes is what you are looking for. The path leads from Golling station along an asphalt road. After just a few meters you reach a gravel path that leads along a babbling, crystal-clear stream. After just 20 minutes you reach the first emerald green lake, in which the surrounding landscape is reflected. Since the water in the Bluntau lakes is very clear, you can also easily observe fish here. Just a few meters away, is the second Bluntausee. Here, too, the water is crystal clear and the mountains are reflected in it. The high cliffs of the Hoher Göll and Hagengebirge mountains surround the lakes. A circular path leads around the second Bluntausee. If you see the two Bluntausees today, you would never believe that the lakes were actually created by gravel mining. Since 1980, the two lakes have been part of a protected landscape in Salzburg.

We keep going west, we turn left towards the Bluntau waterfall (trail no. 451 A), we get to see a few beautiful waterfalls and then from here, the trail climbs steadily over the Untere- and Obere Jochalm (1172 m and 1399m) up to the Carl-von-Stahl-Haus, which is in the Salzburg part of the Berchtesgaden Alps. Here we have a break enjoying the panorama around. We then go down till Schneibsteinhaus first and then we go till Königsbachalm and from here to Königsee, our final destination.
