User provided description:

Beautiful high-altitude tour (pd-) over the Kaindlgrat to the Große Wiesbachhorn (3564 m) for fit mountaineers

In earlier, much colder times, the tour to the third highest peak in the Glockner group was compared to the Biancograt. However, from July onwards, there is hardly any sign of a shiny snow ridge on the Kaindlgrat. If you want to walk the beautifully curved ridge with a layer of snow, you should climb the Große Wiesbachhorn (3564 m) at the start of the hut season. Alternatively, you can wait for the first October snow, but then you will have to forgo the hospitality at the Heinrich Schwaiger House - and would miss out on the fantastic Kaiserschmarrn at the 2802-metre-high mountaineering accommodation of the DAV Munich section.  The tour itself, which experienced mountaineers can undertake without rope protection in good conditions, is a real mountain treat. The summit offers an excellent view due to its completely free-standing location, including the Grossglockner (3798 m). And the Gross Wiesbachhorn also has a geographical record to offer: with its deep drop to the east or southeast, the greatest difference in altitude between summit and valley in the Eastern Alps is measured at 2418 meters from the highest point to the valley floor.
