User provided description:
From the Neue Prager Hütte, head southwest to the highest point of the Niedere Zaun at 2,993 meters. As in summer, the glacier begins here. Continue southwest over the first steep section to the first glacier basin, then a second steep section to the second glacier basin. From here, you can already see the summit of the Großvenediger. Proceed over the rather flat upper glacier basin, passing south of the Venedigerscharte to the summit structure. Climb the steep southeast slope to the ridge with the fore-summit (ski depot). Traverse the narrow snow ridge to the main summit.
Alternative route: Traverse the Schlattenkees to the Venedigerscharte at 3,400 meters and descend north to the Untersulzbachtörl (2,855 meters), keeping to the right under the ridge of the Kleinvenediger. From there, head east over the beautiful slopes of the Viltragenkees down to the valley floor, through the narrow valley (beware of avalanches from the steep flanks), and exit into the Gschlößtal and to the Matreier Tauernhaus.
