This round is a loop from the beautiful Eibsee to Südliche Riffelspitze via Riffeltorkopf. The route skips the Höllenthalklamm gorge.

By public transport

One can take the regional trains from Munich to Garmisch Partenkirchen. From Garmisch, there are two options.
  1. The fastest option is to take the Zugspitze bahn to Eibsee. This ticket is NOT covered by the Deutschland ticket. A separate ticket must be bought.
  2. A relatively slower yet cheaper option is to take a bus from Garmisch to Eibsee.

Both the Train station and bus stop are very close and a few meters away from the starting point.
