Route Information
Bookings at Trögelhütte and Waxensteinhütte for overnight stays. Day one is very light and can be done comfortably after work. This tour is suitable for beginners, however the descent from Waxensteinhütte to Eibsee is very demanding and the way is not well marked. A swim at Eibsee is highly recommended. Cash is necessary for Höllentalklamm and any Hüttes you stop at for food or refreshment. The walk back to Garmisch is not very exciting and can be cut short by taking the train instead.
