This is a variation of the following SAC snowshoeing tour: "Chäppeliberg (Lidernen) - Chinzig Chulm - Biel (Kinzig)".

Chäppeliberg/Lidernen - Spilauergrätli

From the Chäppeliberg/Lidernen mountain station southeastwards to the Spilauerhütten. Now keep heading in the same direction to Spilauersee, then in the valley basin increasingly steeply up to Spilauer Grätli.

Spilauergrätli - Biel/Chinzig

From Spilauer Grätli, descend eastwards into the hollow near Frutt. Stay in the hollow in a south-easterly direction along the rocky ridge to a small counter ascent that leads to Chinzig Chulm. From Chinzig Chulm, first head south along the summer path, then descend steeply as soon as possible to the west-north-west to Untergisleralp and onto the alpine path. Cross the Gangbach stream and descend to the mountain station of the Biel - Chinzig cable car. Info: www.biel-kinzigag.ch. WT4, 5-6 hours in total, 600 m (ascent), 700 m (descent), all exposures.
