A hiking route that can be done all year with scenic views to the Alps as well as Jura mountains.
I recommend all year round proper hiking boots, also take poles according to your usual preference. There are a few slightly exposed short sections on the way down.
In winter check snow conditions (Hotel Napf has a webcam). Spikes or snowshoes might be valuable, also poles will be good.
The top is frequently visited on good days, in particular on weekends.
If you like stop at Luthern Bad Badbrünnli for a relaxing, cooling and healing arm and foot bath.
