Important: If you are traveling from Germany, then please have your passport or other documents with you which you usually carry on border crossing, as the route start point lies in Austria.
Koflerjoch (Jochberg) is a 1861m high mountain in Reutte.
Reaching the start point: There are direct trains from Munich to Reutte in Tirol. For a group Werdenfels ticket (see blog) is a good deal.
Ascent: The hike starts at Urisee, which is approximately 1km from the train station. From the parking lot at Urisee, turn right, and follow the wide mountain road. The wide road goes all the way to the hut Duerrenbergalm; one can also switch to some interesting shortcuts through the forest.
After the hut, the route becomes narrow and steep. There are a couple of ups and downs, and the peak is visible after the second local maxima. The last part of the route is along a ridge, which is although not risky in general, but during snow one should take care to get too close to the edges.
Descent: Same route as ascent
