Route Information
This is a very long, physically demanding but technically easy hike from Kochel am See to Walchensee. Upon reaching Walchensee, the route goes once around this beautiful lake and ends at a bus stand (Urfeld, Walchensee). This hike can be done throughout the year, however, less snow conditions are ideal due to the long distance. One can cut short the loop in case of an emergency, as there are multiple bus stops around Walchensee.
