This stunning traverse in Bavaria’s Chiemgau Alps begins directly from the town, gradually ascending to Zwiesel and continuing along the ridge to Hochstaufen. The route follows the crest of the Hochstaufen massif nearly the entire way, offering breathtaking panoramic views throughout. 

There are excellent spots to rest and refuel along the way: the Zwieselalm (beside the historic Kaiser Wilhelm House) and the Reichenhaller Haus offer food, drink, and shelter. 

The route passes by the following peaks:
