I couldn't find more details on the Hochjoch & Mitt Joch aside that due to the path not being used that much the  Latschen had grown and it is not advisable to go to the peaks but continue over Schärtle.

But the path over Schärtle should be maintained as the hike is one of the less famous  'forgotten ones' advertised by the Zugspitze Arena in their website.

Update post hike: the way we did it is definitely less used - the part up to Schärtle to some 1200hm about is in forest with lots of grass so not advisable to do when it rains.

Once around 1600-1700hm a beautiful view over Thanneller and panorama and view of Bichbachl. Nice reward.

Comin down from Schärtle to Heiterwangee See is pure reward with the scenery, so many flowers, a Waterfall and streams.

Really nice route to come down.

Important: Bug and Tick repellent and long pants are advisable as the area around Plansee has a lot of  ticks where the grass is grown so be mindful of that...
