Auerspitz (1811)
Technically not a difficult hike but rather long one. The path from Geitau until soinsee (1458) is a wide Forestweg however in late winter or beginning of spring this one will no longer be so wide, thanks to masses of snow.
After Soinsee the path is smaller (in summer time) and steeper  but also not difficult technically and in winter, part will be icy or very deep snow (depends on the weather). First, you  hike up to the Ruchenkopfhütte and after continue to the right until the Bergwachthütte that is under the Ruchenköpfe and after ‘till the saddle where one should follow the sign diagonally to the left until the peak (10 min’ or so).
We were the only “normal hikers” on that peak and all others were ski-tours or with snowshoes.

Rotwand Haus is the closest hut but the way there in winter involves very deep snow and therefore it is not part of this route. In summer time, should not be a problem.

In sunny days the path after Soinsee is completely exposed to the sun and therefore sunglasses and sun cream are a must! The way from the saddle to the peak is on a north slope and parts were very icy so spikes can be very, very helpful there!
A very beautiful peak!
