-------
User-provided description:
This route takes you to the second-highest mountain in Germany via Predigtstein. It is a beautiful loop that descends via the Steinernes Hüttl. This is not suitable for beginners; however, it is not too complicated for experienced hikers either. The route can be truly rated at SAC T4-T5 with UIAA I climbing sections. This is suitable for those hikers who already have good experience with T4 routes and wish to get into T5 routes. The route rating on Hiking Buddies is wrong.
- The way up Predigtstein is a T3
- The way down Predigtstein is a T4
- The route up and down Hochwanner is a maximum T5
Please note that the route is not marked. Please don't follow the GPX as there are slight deviations. Your best bet is to follow the Steinmandl along the path left by other hikers. I have sketched a blue line for your reference. Please remember that it is rated T4-T5 and UIAA I. If you feel that it is getting harder than this, YOU ARE ON THE WRONG PATH!
