Hello fellow hikers,

This weekend looks to be a good time to hike to chill around the Isar springs and enjoy the views of the Karwendel and Gleirsch gorges.

We will take the RB6 train from the Hauptbahnhof.

Start time: 08:34 AM

Platform: 27

The travel time takes about 2 hours to reach Scharnitz which is in the border of Germany and Austria.

The total hike duration would be around 6 hours give and take a few minutes.

We will take the return train at 17:28 from Scharnitz and arrive at Munich HBf at 19:26. If the hike finishes faster, we can also possibly take an earlier train.

Important things to bring:

  1. Deutschland Ticket
  2. Food and snacks (since there won't be any huts on the way)
  3. Enough water and drinks for the whole trip
  4. A good mood to just chill and enjoy
