Dreamlike, challenging scenic ridge tour from Gießenbach to Mittenwald over the Arnspitzgruppe.

A strenuous but rewarding tour for those with sufficient fitness and the ability to handle climbing sections up to grade II without a rope.

NOT FOR BEGGINERS !!!

This tour is only for experienced people that have already done several easier T5+ routes with at least UIAA 1 climbing level..

Difficulty is SAC T5 / UIAA level II+.

Starting at 6:32 from Munich Hbf we take the RB60 towards Mittenwald. We reach Mittenwald Hbf at 8:23.
Once there we take the S6 towards Gießenbach in Tyrol train station which we should reach at 8:36 and where we exit and start our hike towards the "Hoher Sattel". From there we hike up towards Weißlehnkopf (2002m) and start our Arnspitze traverse ridge tour all the way to Große Arnspitze after which we hike down towards Arnspitzhütte and turn left to continue our hike towards Riedkopf (1860m). From there we descend down to Mittenwald following the road alongside Schartenkopf..

We take the next available train back to Munich.  (depending on the time we need for this tour)
There is only the Arnspitzhütte along the way.

(no services)

This is a propper alpine ridge tour, definitely not a "hike" (here on HB everything is a hike apparently).

It requires surefootedness, no fear of heights or exposure and mental strenght to overcome both.

You need to be experienced and only such people should attempt this route.
