Steep walls and its Matterhorn-like shape make Kofel (1342 m) quite unique, and often called "Matterhorn of Oberammergau". We took a wrong (climbing) route in the beginning through Marxersteig, which is also present in the GPX here. You should avoid that part. After a while there was no way to continue further without climbing gear so we turned back and continued towards Königssteig through Grottenweg.
After the steep part in Königssteig, we turned right towards Kofel. The signs say 20 minutes to Kofel, there are some wired ropes in the last section before the summit but not dangerous.
We continued on Königssteig for a while before starting ascent to Sonnenberggrat. The main issue we faced in Sonnenberggrat was to find the path specially because of snow. And some parts in were very steep and any mistake could be fatal there.
Finally we arrived at Sonnenberg, had a small break and continued towards Pürschling. We found this part of the ridge a bit easier. The last peak was Teufelstättkopf, which had already footsteps to the summit so it was easier.
For descent we followed the same way back till Pürschling, then continued towards Kolbensattelhuette.
