Wendelstein (1,838 m) is one of most popular peaks in Bavarian Prealps, thanks to the cable car and cogwheel train. Because of its exposed position it offers a very good view into the Bavarian Alpine foothills and can be seen the other way round in a wide radius.

This is an easy hike, but it covers a considerable distance. From Wendelsteinhaus people with enough energy can continue up to the Wendelstein Summit.

Thanks to the fast train connection from Munich, there isn't much need to rush on this hike, despite the distance.
