Many poets and painters walked through the countryside of Franconian Switzerland hundreds years ago and catched it in word and on paintings. Franconian Switzerland is one of the largest nature parks in Germany and a real hidden gem. The area is  very well known for its impressive caves, rock formations and green scenery. Also, there are many medieval castles and ruins as well as an old brewing tradition that can still be experienced today.

Indeed you can find here 71 breweries, that means the highest density of breweries in the world.
The route runs north of Tüchersfeld mainly on easy paths and paths as well as sections on low-traffic roads.
Our starting point, the rock village Tüchersfeld with its small castle, is one of the most photographed spots in the Franconian Switzerland and shows with its striking rock tower above the houses of its picturesque side.
Even otherwise, hikers will quickly understand why Franconian Switzerland is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Germany.
The gigantic Ludwigshöhle, the Schneiderloch, Pferdsloch and the Kühloch are the highlights of the tour and invite you to a safe exploration. But also the many smaller caves and rocks, through which or on which the path runs, are beautiful landscape witnesses of the turbulent history of the Frankenjura. Optionally, we can extend the hike with a visit to the beautiful "Sophienhöhle" cave (5 Euro), where bones of reindeer, mammoths and bears from Ice Age were found in it, as well as the Rabenstein Castle (4 eur) and its falconry.
