Ridge hike with difficult paths or for long sections also pathless with some exposed scrambling and exposed ridges
From Hotel Ammerwald follow the Schützensteig. Then after the Straussenbergsattel continue towards Krähe and leave the marked trail to ascend to the ridge towards Niederstraussenberg. From there always follow the ridge. At a sharp rocky edge either continue along the ridge and then downclimb the wall (exposed, grade II) or walk around it on the right side. Then further along the ridge to Krähe (T4). From there along the marked trail or following the ridge to Fensterl. Further along the marked trail to Hochplatte. From there don't descend all the way down but at around 1800m take the small marked trail along the southern flank of Hochplatte to the col leading back to the Kollebach and Schützensteig.

No huts on the way but Ammerwald Alm is nearby on the road.
In early June there were still very large snow fields. Exposed grassy and rocky terrain. You need a very sure foot and be able to climb without ropes at exposed sections of the ridge. Only for experienced hikers. Sense of orientation necessary.
