Schönfeldspitze is the highest peak (2653m) of the Steinerne Meer after the Selbhorn (2655m).

It is a prominent peak visible from Königssee, with a unique summit cross.

The route requires absolute surefootedness, head for heights and some exposed climbing (UIAA I).

The hut Riemannhaus is open from Mid June.
