This route is a 5 day trip through Karwendel and Rofan.
Day 1: Scharnitz to Karwendelhaus
- optional nearby peaks: Birkkarspitze (2749m), Hochalmkreuz (2192m)
Day 2: Karwendelhaus to Plumsjochhütte
- optional nearby peaks: Ladizköpfl (1920m), Teufelskopf (1978m)
Day 3: Plumsjochhütte to Maurach am Achensee
- optional nearby peaks: Plumsjoch (1921m), Mondscheinspitze (2106m), can be combined in an alternate route, but higher technical difficulty
Day 4: Maurach am Achensee to Bayreuther Hütte
- optional nearby peaks: Rofanspitze (2259m), Sagzahn (2228m), vorderes Sonnwendjoch (2224m)
Day 5: Bayreuther Hütte to Brixlegg
- optional nearby peaks: Latschberg (1944m), Roßkogel (1940m)
In general, this was a rather easy hiking route. Several nearby peaks require much more technical skills though, please inquire before you attempt them.
