Route Information
Zugspitze by Werdensfelsbahn, featuring Eibsee. €22+7 train tickets. Helmets are advised, and via ferrata sets too for beginners. It is also possible to drive to Ehrwald, then take the train to Griesen (€2.90 each, 5:55 Mon-Sat, 7:30 Mon-Sun)
To add €4-6, and save almost 8km and 400 m ascent, start at Eibsee. This removes the possibility of driving.
To add 100 m ascent, and save the cost of the train ticket if driving, start directly in Ehrwald. This misses out Eibsee though.
