Description

Schönfeldspitze (2653 m)The Schönfeldspitze is one of the most striking peaks of the Steinernes Meer and is therefore also called the Matterhorn of the Berchtesgaden Alps.


Type: Difficult mountain hike, B/C, 1+

Elevation gain: Approx. 1800m

Points of Interest:

  • Riemannhaus (2177 m)
  • Sommerstein (2306 m)
  • Schönegg (2309 m)
  • Wurmkopf (2451 m)
  • Schönfeldspitze (2653 M)


Fitness level: High, very long climb

Technique: Moderate, exposed trails, sure-footedness required

Equipment: Hiking gear, Via-Ferrata-Kit, helmet, plenty of water!
