Hi,

We will be hiking to Rotwand this Saturday!

Meeting Point: We meet Munich Hauptbahnhof, Platform 34 at 8:45 AM. Please don't be late!

Public transport: We will take BOB86859 departing at 9:04 am, which will arrive Fischhausen-Neuhaus at 10:06 am. From there we take Bus 9562 to Spitzingsee Kirche, Schliersee, arriving there at 10:23 am. This is the start point of our hike, and  the end point as well. 

Departure time of return connection: Bus 9562 departs every 30 mins and the last one is at 17:28. The train itself from Schliersee to Munich is available every hour.

Rotwandhaus is likely open, and we will have lunch there, however please bring enough food/drink for the entire day in order to avoid starvation/dehydration, in case the hut is closed.

Things to bring:

Waterproof hiking boots

Cash for the ticket (11 - 16 Euro), and for the food at the hut

Food/drinks for the way

Warm clothes

Gaiters (recommended)

Snowshoes or spikes (recommended)

Headlight (just in case)

Some tolerance for snowy and rainy weather
