The Daniel is a “must” for all friends of the Ammergau Alps.
The Daniel (2340m) is the highest in the Ammergau Alps (Tyrolean side), and you can tell: great views of Zugspitze, Wetterstein, Ehrwalder Sonnenspitze and much more - and not just at the summit (it's particularly beautiful) but on the entire tour !
The hike runs above the Tuftlalm on passages that are at risk of falling. Surefootedness and a head for heights are required. The descent variant is more demanding than the ascent.
An ice ax and crampons are a must.
“A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.” Bruce Lee
